Oconee County Parks seasonal update

Chau Ram County Park

Park winter hours*
9:00 am – 4:00 pm 

*Exceptions:

• Chau Ram will close if temperatures are below freezing, if ice is present or flooding occurs.
• Day use areas will be closed for Christmas break from December 18, 2023 – January 8, 2024.
• Campground is closed for the winter and will re-open March 1, 2024.

High Falls County Park

Park gates open daily
7:00 am – 10:00 pm through the winter*

*Exceptions:

• Day use area closes daily at dusk
• High Falls will close for Christmas on Sunday, December 24 and Monday, December 25, 2023.
• Campground is closed for the winter and will re-open March 1, 2024.

South Cove County Park

Park gates open daily
5:00 am – 10:00 pm through the winter

• Day Use Area closes daily at 9:00 pm
• Campground will close from December 18, 2023 – January 3, 2024

Lake Hartwell Access Areas

All Boat Ramps managed by Oconee County will remain open through the winter

• Friendship Day Use Area will close November 13, 2023 and re-open March 1, 2024
• All restrooms will close and be winterized (except for the Friendship restroom, which is heated)
