Adawehi Tipi
'Adawehi' is the spirit of healing in the Cherokee language. This 26 foot tipi offers 450 square feet of heat and air conditioned space. It can accommodate three adults and two children. Indoor toilet, vanity/sink, mini fridge and coffee pot inside. Outside you'll find multiple decks, seating, outdoor shower and grill. The secluded location is on the banks of the Chauga River where you'll find serenity to relax or play. (No cell service or WiFi. 4-wheel drive vehicle necessary to access.)

Chauga Heights Disc Golf Course
Located within Chau Ram County Park, this 18-hole disc golf course features a lot of elevation change, holes carved out of the woods and some amazing views.

Chauga River
A 31 mile long tributary of the Tugaloo River that flows south to Lake Hartwell. The Chauga River offers much of the same scenic beauty and cool waters found nearby on the Chattooga River. Anglers like the Chauga River and often catch rainbow trout, brown trout, chubs, and redeye bass. Depending on the water level, sections of the Chauga are popular for whitewater kayaking. Good access and parking are available off Cassidy Bridge Road in Mountain Rest.

Chauga River Cottage
A quaint cottage tucked into the woods perfectly sized for a couple or two, a small family, or small group of friends. Completely updated with interior paint and expertly furnished with vintage, antique, and custom slipcovered pieces. A stairway behind the cottage meanders through the woods to the small private dock on the Chauga River. A large wooden deck with built-in seating is located along the stairway for gathering with friends in the outdoors.

Chickasaw Point Golf Club
An 18-hole, par-72 public course designed by Parker Gibson. It is the centerpiece of the Chickasaw Point neighborhood. Numerous elevation changes, sheltered fairways and several beautiful ponds. Just minutes off 1-85 on Highway 11, Chickasaw Point’s location makes it an easy drive for golfers in Oconee, Anderson, Greenville and Pickens Counties as well as those from the Atlanta area.

Based on “A Friend In Need” by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge. The famous series features humanized dogs sitting around a table playing poker. The title comes from the fact that the bulldog in the foreground is seen secretly slipping an ace to his partner, while his competitors give side-glances around the table.

Gateway Arts Center

General Store Museum
Housed in the Barrett-Jones building on Main Street in Westminster, SC, the General Store Museum displays a collection of historic artifacts from the original England’s General Merchandise store. OPEN Thursday, Friday 11:00am – 4:00pm and Saturday 11:00am - 2:30pm.

Home Run, Home Run
A tribute to State and Local history, the mural features the United States Flag imposed over the shape of the state of South Carolina. There is also a nod to the Apple Festival held in Westminister and the Oconee Mountaineers Mill Baseball Team in 1946.

Adapted from on “The Last Supper” by Leonardo Da Vinci. It depicts the Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles; the consternation occurring among the Twelve Apostles when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.

Park Place Drive-in
An "old fashioned" ice cream shop featuring ice cream, sundaes, shakes and sweet creations. They've expanded offerings to include a full coffee house menu of espresso drinks, iced coffee, hot tea, muffins, bagels and danishes. Lunch menu includes deli sandwiches and hotdogs. Park Place is next to Anderson Park open daily 7am-9pm.

Ramsey Creek Falls
Beautiful 40ft. cascade over large boulders where Ramsey Creek and Chauga River meet. The falls is located inside Chau Ram County Park where a $3 parking fee applies. Lower parking lot provides roadside viewing. Good wading pond at foot of falls. Excellent swimming just a short, easy walk from the falls on well-marked and partially paved trail. Retreat Rosenwald School
Also known as Retreat Colored School, this was one of 10 Rosenwald schools in Oconee County. It is the only one still in existence. The three-room school served rural African-American children from 1924-1950. It was partially funded by the national Rosenwald School Building program. In September 2011 the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has undergone renovation and is open for tours by appointment (864) 903-0547.

The Venue Cheswell Pruitt Building
Built in 1920 as offices for W.E. Cheswell, founder of Cheswell Cotton Mill (later Beacon Mills), this building has been restored to reflect its rich history. This venue space is available for rental to host meetings, parties, social events and more. Modern kitchen and bathrooms.

Three Musicians
Adapted from “Three Musicians” by Pablo Picasso. It depicts three brightly colored figures seated around a table and set in a dark, box-like room in the style of Synthetic Cubism and gives the appearance of cut paper.

W.P. Anderson Park
The park is near the Westminster Library. It features a playground, public restrooms and two covered picnic shelters. The Pavilion Shelter has picnic tables, electrical outlets, and a charcoal grill. Rental Fee: $35 for 3 hour rental. The Picnic Shelter is a covered picnic area with tables. Rental Fee: $25 for 3 hour rental.
