Located in the heart of the Newry Mill Village, the “company store” was established in 1893 as part of the cotton mill operation and served as the hub of community life. The historic building was restored to its former glory and is once again the center of activity for the nearby community. The Cafe serves family recipes and “typical” Mill menu items. HOURS: Monday: Closed, Tuesday-Wednesday: 8am-7pm, Thursday-Saturday: 8am – 10pm, Sunday: 11am-3pm. The Courtenay Lodge event space is upstairs.
An “old fashioned” ice cream shop featuring ice cream, sundaes, shakes and sweet creations. They’ve expanded offerings to include a full coffee house menu of espresso drinks, iced coffee, hot tea, muffins, bagels and danishes. Lunch menu includes deli sandwiches and hotdogs. Park Place is next to Anderson Park open daily 7am-9pm.
Serving coffee, espresso, homemade muffins, bagles, biscuits and homemade ice cream. The bagels are made out of pizza dough from their sister restaurant Humble Pie–they’re especially delicious! (The Chattooga Whitewater Shop and retail store are located in the same building.)
