Walhalla issued a plan to reopen facilities managed by the city.
Dates are tentative and will depend on direction from Governor McMaster and state agencies.
Reopening Schedule
May 8
- Stumphouse Park reopens (all facilities including the mountain bike trails)
- Disc Golf Course at Sertoma Field
- Tennis and pickle ball courts
- A portion of the Walhalla city parking lot will be barricaded off to be used for outdoor seating and dining
The Walhalla Fire Department will be at Stumphouse Park to help with crowd control
The city is working with the Forest Service for crowd management at Yellow Branch as well.
SC Department of Transportation will have electronic message boards on Highway 28/Highlands Highway near Stumphouse Park.
May 15

- Pony League Field
- Avondale Ball Field
- City playgrounds
May 30
- Gyms
- Basketball courts
- Other recreation facilities
June 1
- All recreational sports
June 15
- Open all offices back to the public
- Walhalla Depot
- St. John’s Meeting House
Note:
Hand washing stations will be in place at Stumphouse Park, Sertoma Field, and the tennis courts.
