It’s greening up around here. You can almost see the tree buds popping out! Every day there’s more in bloom. Flowers and trees are waking up and the landscape is transitioning with the colors of Spring!
The mild temperatures of March and April are the perfect weather for heading into the woods to see what you can see. There are numerous trails and waterfall hikes throughout Oconee County that lead to natural areas full of wildflowers. Slow down and look around. Many varieties of flowers are hard to see unless you know where to look. Take heart leaf ginger for instance, the interesting spotted flowers are hidden underneath its leaves.
