Walhalla is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This small town is undergoing a resurgence with new event venues, restaurants, bars & lodging moving into historic downtown storefronts.
Palmetto + Performances
Walhalla was named the northern terminus for the Palmetto Trail, a 500-mile trail system that spans South Carolina. This designation, along with the city-maintained, Stumphouse Park, brings outdoor adventurers to the area for active pursuits.
The Walhalla Performing Arts Center is a prime example of a renovated building with a new lease on life. The venue is located a block from Main Street and has a great lineup of well-known artists scheduled to perform this season.
A farmer’s market sets up in the Walhalla Performing Arts Center parking lot on Saturday mornings. Check it out for local produce and artisan items.
Walkable Walhalla
We’re pleased to promote new dining options in town. Locally owned restaurants have opened over the past year, helping breathe life back into vacant buildings. Yay!
The Hungry Hiker, Carolina Pizza Company, Poke at Little Japan, Los Arcos Mexican Grill, 3 Amigos, B’s Cafe, and Mountain Mocha are places you should check out. Local favorites like, The Steakhouse Cafeteria, have been around for years and can also be found on Main Street.
Stroll the streets where you’ll find a variety of downtown shops including boutiques and independently owned stores offering clothing, gifts, outdoor gear, antiques, and more!
When you’re ready to unwind, walk over to Partners in Wine or West & Co. Taproom for drinks.
