Our downtowns are especially charming this time of year! Merchants and city officials in Seneca, Walhalla, and Westminster really put on a show with festive holiday lights and storefront displays to captivate young and old.

If you want a feel-good experience this Christmas, shop small and local! Find the perfect gift and support businesses who have invested in our community. You’ll find dozens of independently owned stores and boutiques offering a wide array of products and services just for you.
4 Â Play Days
Kids out of school? Take them to The Oasis Ranch. From the unusual name, to the elaborate boulders and landscaped grounds, this place is not your average mini-golf course. The property features waterfalls, Koi ponds, festive decorations, lights and event meeting space. If being on a tropical island sounds nice–this “oasis” in Seneca will hit just right.
5Â Adventure Gift Ideas

The Bible Belt has loosed up around here. Bars and breweries have come to town! You can enjoy happy hour and seasonal gatherings at more places than ever offering beer, wine and spirits.

Oconee County, SC is a place where beauty mingles with the natural world. Supporting artisans is win-win in that you get something truly meaningful and they get paid! Two places where you’re sure to find wonderful handmade gifts are Sunni’s Village Market and End of the Road Studios. Both are located in Walhalla and will be open throughout the holiday season. You could also foster creativity by donating to The Blue Ridge Arts Center.
11Â Parks a Plenty
Head over to Stumphouse Park where you’ll have access to 10 miles of exceptional mountain biking trails! In addition to this park operated by the City of Walhalla, Oconee County is fortunate to have four state parks and three county parks. So there are lots of public places for everyone to enjoy!
12Â Hikers Hiking
When it comes to hiking, Oconee County, SC has options! One of our most sought after trails is the 77-mile Foothills Trail. If that’s more than you’re after, choose from hikes that are easy, moderate or strenuous–many of which lead to wonderful winter waterfalls.
